On-Slate is an innovative plug-in which generates slate images directly from ON-AIR Pro. Imagine real time slates with accurate master log, time code and production information, without the hassle of turnkey slate systems and the re-typing of data by specialized operators...

Since editors and room producers can directly access slates from within ON-AIR Pro valuable production time is saved.  Writer-producers and Room-producers can generate their slates from within ON-AIR Pro. 

Generated slates are stored in a folder on the network or on a local drive, accessible to producers with the filename equal to the promo ID number, plus extension of format which can be read by Avid.  (Fig. D-1)

ON-Slate reduces by 90% the man-hours required for slate generation whether it is on the Avid machines or graphics Macs, chyron, etc.  It eliminates the need for slate proofing, since the data is coming directly from the information originally entered by media planners and managers.
