In the LIBRARY module
(Fig.
2-A) all information pertaining to tapes, CD's,
and digital files is entered and worked with.
This information includes the tape log, the tape’s
location history, and dubs made of each tape.
As data is entered into this module, it is immediately
available to users on the network. Reel numbers
are automatically assigned based on custom designated
criteria. Masters, sub-masters, compilation,
and source reels are barcoded and easily tracked;
elements’ records show their location, date
of last check-in or checkout of the library and
the person responsible. Labels may be printed
for the individual elements created, with the On-Label
plug-in. As each promo is created and laid
to tape, the time code on the tape log for that
element is automatically incremented and can be
viewed and printed from the library. |
